Basic Concepts in Psycho-Sexual Formation

A grounded and healthy understanding of sexuality is necessary in consecrated life and celibate ministry. This course aims to inform, engage, and challenge participants in their understanding of psychosexual formation.

Learning Objectives:

To expand and deepen one’s understanding of sexuality and related concerns (e.g. sexual identity and orientation, management of sexual energies)
To integrate Christian and psychological perspectives in the understanding of these concerns
To revisit one’s personal psycho-sexual history: one’s own experience as the best resource of learning
To experience or re-experience being accompanied reverently as one revisits his/her psycho-sexual history
